This Privacy Policy describes how Lykos Yacht Services & Solutions ("Lykos," "we," "us") handles information in connection with this website and the yacht management and service work we do in San Diego, California.
The short version
This website is a set of static pages with no user accounts. When you use the request form, the site emails us what you entered, and we receive only what you choose to send. The site includes Google's advertising tag so we can measure how our ads perform; that tag sets cookies and shares visit data with Google, described below. We run no other analytics or tracking of our own.
Information you send us
When you contact us by email, phone, or through the request form on this site, you may share information such as your name, phone number, email address, vessel details, location, and a description of what you need. We use that information to:
- Respond to your request and communicate with you.
- Prepare estimates and schedule and perform services.
- Coordinate vendors you have asked us to manage.
- Keep business records we are required to keep.
We do not sell your personal information. The advertising cookies described in the next sections involve Google; how to limit them is explained there and in your California rights below.
Information collected automatically
Our web hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not add our own analytics or tracking to these pages.
These pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, your IP address is shared with Google in order to deliver them. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising cookies (Google Ads)
We advertise our services on Google, and every page of this site includes the Google Ads tag (gtag.js). The tag sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit to Google, such as the pages you view, your IP address, and advertising identifiers, so that we can measure whether our ads lead to real inquiries and so Google can deliver and improve ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. This website works fully with those cookies blocked.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to do the work you ask for: for example, giving a vendor your vessel's location so they can perform a service you approved. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell it.
How long we keep information
We keep correspondence and service records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, accounting, and insurance requirements, then delete or archive them.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to:

- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our services.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Children
This website and our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
